Project: 🎨environmental creative contest 🌍
Calling all eco-conscious artists and poet!
United Green Core invites you to participate in our "Positive Future" art & poetry contest!
Unleash your creativity by mixing and matching elements from our blog (click here) to create art that represents a positive, sustainable future. Bonus points for using eco-friendly supplies! Don't forget to include a 1-3 sentence caption for your masterpiece to capture our attention.
Alternatively, write a poem inspired by nature and our environment in your style!
🏆 Prizes:
- 1st Place: 65" Samsung TV
(sustainably packaged, FSC certified- Westchester, NY only)
- 2nd Place: "Pura" zero plastic lunch container
- 3rd Place: "Blockhütte" zero plastic water bottle
- All participants will receive an eCertificate of Earth Stewardship.
All entries must be in by December 31, 2024.
Our esteemed Board of Directors and officers will judge the entries. The winners will be announced in the second week of January 2025.
Art/Service Contest Requirements:
- Age 10 to 21. (note: 10 to 17 must be accompanied by parents to claim the prize)

Nature journaling, virtually
We understand that not everyone can access the nature preserve. We launched our first YouTube live-stream on July 27, 2024 (details below). Stay tuned for beautiful autumn and maybe catch a glimpse of a wild turkey!
Education and awareness
We believe nature is the bedrock of humanity. Each season, we want to share nature with our community. The location will be a secret. The first person who guesses it correctly will receive an Amazon gift card. I encourage you to buy eco-friendly stuff! In the last five minutes, we will have the community name a plant or animal shown for another chance to win a prize!

Plastic nomads
The majority of our plastics are not properly labeled or recycled. Over 90% end up in our environment, inadvertently becoming hazards to all life.
Education and action
We believe education and action on policy are the keys to a healthier future.
Evidence
We are actively collecting and cataloging plastics that have the potential to become pervasive in our society and harm innocent animals. Scientific evidence also shows microplastics and nanoplastics have infiltrated our tissues. Plastics do not discriminate based on social stratification; they affect all members of society.
