team

Our team is rooted in a philosophy of humility, positive growth, and connection to our shared planet.

We believe in collective action over individual recognition, working together to protect both living and nonliving elements of our world.

We'd love to connect with you, either in person or through social media, to create positive change together.

"PASSIONATE GUARDIANS OF OUR PLANET"

Adriana Feng

Role: Representative of Earth; Founder and Chair

Bio:

Adriana is a high school student passionate about engaging youth with nature through pop culture trends. She wants to share how beautiful, interesting, and even fun nature can be. She thinks the biggest environmental problems won't get solved by one group acting alone — so she works across age groups and sectors, using artificial intelligence and partnering with local Youth Bureaus, businesses, and government officials to get things actually done.

She's involved with the Westchester chapter of the United Nations Association, her town's Mayor's Youth Council, and her state senator's Youth Advisory Council, and partners with local Westchester schools and nonprofit organizations to give more young people the chance to learn and grow as leaders.

Adriana founded and runs United Green CORE, a nonprofit that ties environmental work to civic participation. The projects she builds are meant to be practical and easy for other communities to adapt — proof that environmental work can be fun, hopeful, and grounded in local action rather than abstract policy. One of her favorite projects she's started is the Native Plant Olympics. She regularly shares project opportunities with other youth leaders and helps them launch projects of their own.

None of this would be possible without the board, mentors and advisors who believe in her mission and support her along the way. Adriana is deeply grateful for their guidance and encouragement.

Danielle Mitchell

Role: Secretary  and Board of Directors

Bio:

I am an environmental leader and aviation enthusiast dedicated to blending technology with nature. As one of the leads for the Native Plant Olympics, I work closely with the Youth Bureau to restore local ecosystems and promote biodiversity. My future goal is to use the Miyawaki method to grow dense, native "tiny forests" that help our communities breathe.

Beyond the garden, I am a pilot-in-training and a sustainability advocate. I’ve developed and presented ideas on how to make aviation more eco-friendly, proving that we can reach the skies without hurting the planet.

When I’m not in the cockpit or the dirt, I’m a creator at heart, I spend my time playing guitar, drawing, cooking, and staying active through dance. I believe a sustainable future requires both scientific innovation and creative energy, and I am committed to leading that charge with United Green Core.

Claudio Nushi

Role: Chief Financial Officer

Claudio Nushi is a Financial Advisor at a major bank, bringing his expertise in personal finance to support our mission.

An avid traveler, he’s explored state parks and beaches across the country, fueling his deep love of nature.

He’s also loves dog - a dad to an American Shephard.

In his spare time, he is passionate about creating opportunities for youth in our community.

Charity Marshall

Role: Board of Directors/Advisor

Charity Marshall started teaching English as a Second Language in 2005 at a Community College in Charlotte, N.C., while she was working on her Master’s degree. She began teaching K-8 English as a Second Language in a public elementary and middle school in 2006 and has also taught evening GED, ESL, and U.S. Citizenship classes at her local community college. She taught middle school Language Arts and Gifted/Talented Language Arts with the public and private sectors of Pearson Online Academy for 6 years. During this time, she taught Adriana Feng, as well as met her in person at a National Junior Honor Society convention. Currently, she teaches high school English, Journalism, and Yearbook at Wayne Christian School in North Carolina.

Outside of work and school, Charity loves spending time outdoors with her family. They enjoy playing sports, traveling to new locations, hiking, camping, exploring, and going to the beach. She enjoys running and working out and has completed four half-marathons and two obstacle-course competitions! She loves to read a good book, as well as watch a movie or series based on a book that she has read. She also enjoys playing the piano and singing on the worship team at her church. Charity and her family care deeply about the environment, and they are committed to practices of sustainability and taking care of the ecosystem.

Cathy Lipsky

Role: Board of Directors

Cathy likes to describe herself as a nurse practitioner gone ROUGE. Having had a fulfilling career in the medical field she feels that it no longer filled her soul and put it to rest by dedicating herself to support people on their healing journey, through bodywork, meditation and movement.

Her clients are her biggest teachers and she is inspired by them as she sees them take ownership of their healing journey. In addition to being a business owner, she is the treasurer of her co op board and a member of the Woman's Club of White Plains board of directors in charge of caring for the garden.
