Bio:
United Green CORE was founded in 2023 to help make climate and environmental issues easier to understand and easier to act on. Created from the belief that people need hopeful, practical ways to respond to today’s environmental challenges, the organization turns complex ideas into real projects that help communities care for the planet together.
Officially incorporated on June 19, 2024, United Green CORE has continued to grow through partnerships with government, local businesses, and community members. The organization was also selected by the City of White Plains to receive two grants through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund, supporting youth-led environmental projects in the community.
In 2025, United Green CORE expanded its impact through hands-on initiatives such as the Native Plant Olympics, a youth-led program that helps students support pollinators and build environmental awareness, and the installation of solar-powered benches that provide free device charging.
Led by a high school student involved in the Mayor’s Youth Council and the Senator Mayer Youth Advisory Council, United Green CORE connects environmental protection with civic engagement. Its long-term goal is to create practical, community-friendly solutions that can be repeated anywhere while showing that environmental action can be creative, hopeful, and deeply rooted in community.
